AFRICA TEAM: Consultant in partnership with project financiers to support African businesses; this involves Project design, evaluation, and funding process support. Search for and identifying businesses with viable projects that can qualify to receive funding. [Jan 2022-ongoing]

RWANDA: Consultant, Springfield Centre, SDM Researcher.
Provided in country research support for analysing the service delivery models and conducting market scans on the Hortinvest Project under SNV, focusing on the horticulture value chains with emphasis on the use of MSD approaches.

TANZANIA: Project founder, Cotton Connect (United Kingdom), Project set up.
Providing direction in the establishment of a new programme in the cotton sector in Tanzania focused on delivering farmer support services using MSD approaches in cotton and other value chains cotton farmers use to supplement income. [October 2021- Dec 2022]

TANZANIA: Consultant, Springfield Centre, SDM Researcher.
Provided in country research support for analysing the service delivery models and conducting market scans on the CRAFT programme under SNV, focusing on the Sunflower and Sorghum value chains with emphasis on the use of MSD approaches. [April 2021-March 2022]

TANZANIA: Consultant, Cotton and Textile Development Programme (CTDP),
Gatsby Africa

Consultant on cotton and textiles systems and value chain development. Provision of technical support to the cotton and textile teams. The focus is a value chain-based approach with the intent to achieve sector transformation.

TANZANIA: Senior Advisor on Service Delivery Models and Industry Engagement,
Cotton Sector Development Programme (CSDP), Gatsby Africa
Defining the strategy, work plans, and budget for the critical components of the programme is the key aspect of this role. In addition to this, creating access to industry players in the sector for the programme. A key achievement is crafting the alignment of the programme thrust with changing sector conditions. A key aspect designing and testing service delivery models.

TANZANIA: Senior Advisors on Contract Farming and Ginner Relations, Cotton
Sector Development Programme (CSDP), Gatsby Africa
The role involved designing the details of the contract farming concession model, setting up, and managing teams that showcased the model. Achieved 60% adoption of contract farming, that supported ginners to initiate investments in farmer productivity. A key aspect of the role was also developing relationships and grants for ginners. A notable achievement was the development of a three-year strategic partnership that has yielded compelling evidence for ginners investing in farmer productivity. [December 2015-November 2018]

TANZANIA: Design Consultant, Financial Sector Deepening Trust (FSDT)
Designing of the Agricultural Financial Services innovation challenge Fund (AICF). Reconfiguring the AICF into a thematic arrangement that works within an Innovation Challenge Fund inclusive of Digital Finance, SME Finance, and Insurance. [January 2015-December 2015]

TANZANIA: Management Contractor of Operations, International Development
Advisory Services (IDAS), KPMG Tanzania
Agribusiness expert assisting the Country IDAS Director in Tanzania and other business pillar directors based in Kenya to implement donor funded programme strategies. Achieved supporting the management of five funds/programmes whose spend value was at least £90 million over 3-5 years. Major support was on Agribusiness projects. [December 2013-December 2015]

TANZANIA: Agri-business Project Developer, support various SMEs
Working with a value chain approach in developing projects in agriculture, agro and food processing. Crops in focus were sunflower, cereals, and horticulture products such as fruits. Achieved raising funding of TZS1.3 billion for an agribusiness client. [August 2013-December 2013]

TANZANIA: Independent Consultant
Designing processing systems with overseas agro processing machinery supply companies. The largest model design was a grain silo storage system worth $4 million. [November 2011-January 2012]
